Review: This book began so slow that I almost put it down. I had the feeling that the plot contained some sort of mystery though, so I continued. Sure enough, underneath the storyline there was a mystery that could only be solved by finishing the book. The main character, Iris, receives a call that her great aunt is scheduled to be released from the state mental institution and she needs to make arrangements for her. At first Iris insists that there must be some mistake because she doesn't have a great aunt. After meeting Esme however, she is sure that she is a relative. Iris takes Esme into her own home and slowly begins to uncover the secrets of her family.
