Description:
 Presenter and Art History Lecturer, Maureen Esther, will join the Troy Library for an exciting event in conjunction with the Detroit Institute of Arts' Inside/Out Program. The "Treasures of the DIA" lecture and slide presentation will showcases the tremendous art treasures right here in Detroit. These precious pieces are discussed using historical artistic information from their own time periods. Esther will also lecture about artist Vincent Van Gogh and his unique relationship with artist Paul Gauguin, whose self portrait replica is on display outside of the Library as part of the Inside/Out Program.
