Major General Edward J. Mechenbier, USAF (Ret.) joins us for this special Veterans' Day program. Gen. Mechenbier was an F-4 pilot when he was shot down in 1967 while flying his 80th mission over Vietnam. He was held as a prisoner of war for nearly 6 years. When he retired from the Air Force in 2004, his last active-duty mission was to return to Vietnam aboard the famous C-141B aircraft known as the "Hanoi Taxi" to carry repatriated American remains back to U.S. soil. Join us to hear Gen. Mechenbier's amazing story and tribute to all American veterans.
